Esoteric | Virginia Beach
Located just blocks from the oceanfront in Virginia Beach’s ViBe Creative District, Esoteric is known for its exceptional craft beer and curated dining experience. When owners Tim and Kristina Hayes envisioned a space that celebrated both community and craftsmanship, we were honored to help bring that vision to life.
Completed in Fall 2015, the project features handcrafted furnishings built from reclaimed lumber with deep local roots. The wood was salvaged from a historic barn in nearby Suffolk, VA — a structure once used as a Union hospital during the Civil War. The aged heart pine carried with it generations of character, texture, and untold stories, now preserved within every table and barstool inside Esoteric.

Each piece was designed to echo Esoteric’s philosophy: authentic, enduring, and crafted with meaning. The result is a space where history, craftsmanship, and community come together — a reflection of Virginia Beach’s creative spirit.
